  • 4.0 out of 5 stars from John Lewis -- A good book on a specialized subject : I first became interested in Captain Matthew Flinders during my first trip to Autralia several years ago. I accidentally stumbled across a traveling museum exhibit about his life and accomplishments and became intrigued. Flinders died at 40 and spent 7 years of his adult life in a French prison and yet me made incredible contributions to the exploration and cartography of Australia.
