:- 4.0 out of 5 stars from Pamela R Mitchell -- Enjoyable read : This was an enjoyable read that kept me entertained and intrigued from start to finish with interesting characters and a story that had me on an emotional roller coaster and totally immersed in all that was happening. I loved the instant attraction and scorch-your-skin-off chemistry between Levi Roberts and second grade school teacher Lily Donovan when he is sent to Deer Haven to watch over her while finding a man with a dangerous agenda against Lily. This is a must-read for anyone who enjoys emotional and suspenseful western romance. I received an advance reader copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review. ( Reviewed in the United States on September 30, 2021 )
- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Cheryl Johnson -- Idiot heroine : Did Lora Leigh write this book? I have my doubts. I loved the first two books in this series but didn’t like this one. I hated lily. She acted like an idiot. Bad decisions the whole book. (And who is this Sheriff Dwight person? Hunter Steele is the sheriff from the first book.) Lily has all these bad asses in her life but she’s afraid to “put them in danger,” so she’ll handle the bad guy all by herself. Stupid. I’ve been a fan of Lora Leigh for a long time, but something is “off” in her last 3 or 4 books. I’m going to give her one more chance. If her next book isn’t up to the standards I expect from her, I’m marking her off my favorite author list. ( Reviewed in the United States on October 1, 2021 )
- 2.0 out of 5 stars from Donna Repsher -- Another problematic read with an unlikeable heroine : Her Renegade Cowboy is the the third novel in Lora Leigh's Moving Violations series, and while it's somewhat of an improvement over the first two novels, both of which I gave 1-star reviews, I found that while it was a little less disjointed than the previous novels in the series, it was still a problematic read for several reasons, which I'll get to, and I am giving it a 2-star rating.
